Juliann Pumphrey
Director
Juliann joined the St. John family after 33 years of teaching in the public schools. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and a Master of Arts in Educational Administration. She and her husband, Michael, are both graduates of Davison High School, as are their sons, Donovan and Christian. She is excited to be working in her home church, in her hometown, and blessed to be working with St. John's youngest children who are learning to love and loving to learn!
Patty Schabel
Office Staff
Patty joins our preschool staff with 34 years of experience teaching at Lapeer Community Schools, spending most of her career in first and second grade. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Adrian College, a Master’s Degree from Eastern Michigan University and a second Master’s Degree from Marygrove College. Patty served as an aide in the St. John’s PREP program for several years as her sons grew, and currently serves as a Greeter for masses. Patty and her family have been members of St. John’s Catholic Church since 1992. She lives in Lapeer with her husband, Ron, and two of their sons, Jeff and Daniel. Their oldest son, Greg, lives in Madrid, Spain as a missionary.
Bettina Jimenez
Teacher - 3 Year Olds
Tina joined our St. John family after teaching 25 years in Flint Schools. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education. She and her husband, David, reside in Davison and have two children, Andrew and Alyssa. Tina is thrilled to be teaching St. John's youngest learners.
Kathy Tippen

Teacher - 3 Year Olds
Kathy joins our teaching staff having taught 3 and 4 year old preschool classes for the past 18 years. She has an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Development. She and her husband, Paul, reside in Goodrich and have 2 grown children, Emily and Andrew. Kathy loves working with young children fostering social and emotional development while preparing young learners for future academic success. In her spare time she enjoys going on Therapy Dog visits in the community with her dog, Carson.
Jennifer Little
Teacher - 4 Year Olds
Jennifer joined the St. John Preschool family after being a stay-at-home Mom to her three children—Gracie, Gavin, and Hope—for many years. She and her husband, Jeff, reside in the Davison Community. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, Jennifer taught first grade before starting a family of her own. Jennifer loves working with the four year olds and experiencing their true joy each day.

After eight years in our preschool office, Juliann has decided to split her time between the office and the classroom. She is excited to pursue her love of teaching and spend more time with our children by co-teaching with Jennifer Little in our 4YO room.
Elizabeth Jordan
GSRP Teacher
Elizabeth comes to us with a wealth of education and experience in early childhood education. She holds multiple degrees in Early Childhood Education including a Ph.D. in Family and Child Ecology from Michigan State. During the last 35 years Elizabeth has been deeply involved in teaching and advocating for young children. She and her husband, Kenneth, live in Flint Township. They have three grown children and four grandchildren. We are very excited to have Elizabeth on our GSRP team.
Gail Harman
GSRP Teacher
Gail studied Business at Northwood University and retired after 30 years at Kettering University as the Manager of Cooperative Education. She has been a Parishioner here at St. John for forty years. Gail started working in our Preschool as our Before Care caregiver in 2018. She also worked as the Assistant in the three-year-old program, and as the Associate in our GSRP program, before becoming one of our GSRP Teachers. Gail has two children, five grandchildren, and one great grandson.

Before/After Care Program - Morning Caregiver
Abby comes from West Michigan, newly married in September to Jacob. She has spent the last two years at a public school, working as their accounting clerk and after school program supervisor. In her home parish she was a First Communion Catechist, VBS volunteer, and young adult mentor in the high school youth group. She is excited to fulfill her dream of working for the Church by filling the Morning Caregiver position. She is also thrilled to be joining St. John's parish and building community after moving to a new town!

Before / After Care Program - Afternoon Caregiver
Cathy came to us after 33 years with the United States Post Office. She began as a substitute in our Before and After Care Program and really enjoyed spending time with our children. She is a longtime member of our Parish and was happy to take on the position of Afternoon Caregiver. She and her husband, Jeff live in Burton with their two dogs and one cat. In her spare time Cathy dances with the Dance Company in Davison.
