When you walk into the Great Start Readiness Classroom you will find a large, colorful room divided carefully into planned centers of learning. The Great Start classroom includes the following centers of learning: dramatic play, writing center, manipulative play, blocks, art, library, listening center, music and movement, sensory table, science, outdoor play, and gym. These defined areas allow the child to play and explore materials with the guidance of the teacher either individually or in small groups. The classroom is filled with bright colors and a variety of materials for your child to manipulate, explore, snuggle, play with, and share. The room is especially designed to encourage your child’s natural curiosity and desire to learn.
“These materials were developed under a grant awarded by the Michigan Department of Education.”
